On July 9, in response to needs from Typhoon Bavi (this year’s No.9), the Office
of the National Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Relief Committee, the
Ministry of Emergency Management and the National Food and Strategic Reserves
Administration allocated 50,000 central disaster-relief supplies — folding beds,
summer quilts and household emergency kits — to Zhejiang and Fujian to support
residents’ evacuation, transfer and sheltering assistance.
