On July 10 (Friday), Japan's Nikkei index closed up 813.88 points (+1.20%) at 68,557.73. South Korea's KOSPI closed up 184.03 points (+2.52%) at 7,475.94; SK Hynix finished slightly lower at the close, while Samsung Electronics rose 2.5%.

A-share industrial metals sector led gains, with Shenhuo Co. hitting the daily limit; Zhongfu Industrial, Yunnan Aluminium, Western Mining, Jiangxi Copper and Tianshan Aluminium also rallied.

July 9 — A briefing on the Port Modernization '15th Five-Year Plan' was held in Hohhot. Customs deputy commissioner Zhang Baofeng, who also directs the National Port Management Office, attended and spoke; Inner Mongolia vice-chairman Su He delivered remarks. The meeting urged the national port system to study and implement the plan, focus on port modernization targets, optimize port layout and the business environment, advance construction of “five-type” ports, develop a port standards system, strengthen organizational safeguards and ensure full rollout of the plan.
