China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation said the Long March 10B
carrier rocket launched from a Hainan commercial spaceport earlier; about six
minutes after stage separation a sub-stage returned vertically and was recovered
on a sea recovery platform. CASC said this is China's first successful
controlled recovery of a rocket sub-stage and the world's first networked
recovery of a carrier-rocket sub-stage.
