Qatari prime minister and foreign minister held a phone call with Jordan's
deputy prime minister and foreign minister to discuss the current US‑Iran
escalation, Qatar's foreign ministry said. Both stressed diplomacy and
de‑escalation; Qatar called for implementation of the US‑Iran memorandum of
understanding and maintenance of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
