After an appeals judge shortened a previous ban on Marine Le Pen's candidacy, clearing her to run for a fourth time, Le Pen has widened her lead in voter polls ahead of next April's French presidential election.

OpenAI founder Altman said he is, so far, fairly confident AI is net-creating jobs rather than reducing them, contrary to his earlier expectation. He said he is less pessimistic than some but had expected AI at its current capability to already affect the labor market; that trend could continue.

Chas Freeman, a retired US diplomat and former assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs, said even with US production licenses Ukraine would be unable to assemble Patriot air-defense systems for several years. He said producing a complete Patriot system in the US takes about two years and that the US currently has no Patriots to supply Ukraine and will not have any for years. Freeman added, we expect the conflict will be over by then.
