On the evening of the 12th, Kuwait's defense ministry reported three land border
posts in northern Kuwait were attacked, with some facilities damaged. A drilling
platform operated by a Kuwaiti state oil company was struck by drones, injuring
one worker and sustaining damage; the injured is receiving medical treatment.
The Kuwaiti military statement made no mention of US bases or facilities. Iran's
military public relations arm said earlier it deployed attack drones against US
Patriot air-defence systems, an ammunition depot and a radar site in Kuwait, a
claim not reflected in the Kuwaiti statement.
