Total turnover on the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges was CNY 2.818 trillion on July 13, down CNY 570.79 billion from the prior session. Shanghai turnover was CNY 1.335 trillion (previous CNY 1.5631 trillion); trading volume 591 million lots (prev. 627 million). Shenzhen turnover was CNY 1.483 trillion (previous CNY 1.8254 trillion); trading volume 734 million lots (prev. 829 million). Zhongji Xuchuang led stock-level turnover at CNY 38.391 billion, followed by GigaDevice (CNY 37.737 billion), JCET/Changdian Technology (CNY 25.012 billion), Cambricon (CNY 23.602 billion) and Dongshan Precision (CNY 22.708 billion).

Typhoon Bavi (this year’s No.9, tropical-storm intensity) had its center at 08:00 in Si County, Suzhou, Anhui. The Central Meteorological Observatory forecasts Bavi will move north-northeast at 10–15 km/h, weaken gradually, cross the Shandong Peninsula into the northern Yellow Sea on the 14th and transition to an extratropical cyclone after the 15th. Under the Marine Disaster Emergency Plan the National Marine Forecasting Center this morning issued a storm-surge orange alert and a wave blue alert for China’s northern sea areas.
