President Trump said Iran "always breaks agreements" and vowed to "hit them
hard." He said most of Iran's equipment, including its air-defence guns, is gone
and that US forces strike decisively when Iran sends drones. Trump said previous
deals with Iran were repeatedly violated — "we've made deals with these people
10 times" — and that the US will control, and likely dominate, the Strait of
Hormuz. He added the US has been defending the strait for free, will act as its
"guardian angel," and only seeks to recoup costs and be compensated for risks
taken in the waterway.
