China's National Healthcare Security Administration announced 601 drugs passed
form review for the 2026 national basic medical insurance, maternity and
work-injury drug-list adjustment. For the basic insurance list the NHSA received
800 submissions covering 664 generic names; 601 passed form review — 233 were
in-list candidates and 368 off-list candidates — a 91% pass rate. For the
commercial health insurance innovative-drug list it received 62 submissions
covering 62 generics; 58 passed form review (1 in-list, 57 off-list), a 94% pass
rate. The NHSA said form review is an initial eligibility check for expert
assessment and does not constitute inclusion in the drug lists.
