CUSTOMS said at a State Council press briefing China remains the world’s largest
exporter of sporting goods, with a >40% share of global exports. In 1H sporting
goods and equipment exports totaled 67.53 bln yuan, including balls 3.08 bln,
fitness/rehab equipment (e.g. treadmills) 26.7 bln, and water-sport equipment
(e.g. paddleboards) 4.77 bln; skateboard exports rose 20.4% YoY. Exports to
Latin America and Africa rose 18.9% and 8.1% respectively, while shares in
European and US markets stayed stable.
