Around 1400 local time on July 13 Sanaa International Airport was hit by an airstrike. Houthi forces controlling Sanaa accused Saudi Arabia; Yemen’s defense ministry said government forces struck the airport runway to prevent an Iranian aircraft from landing. Sanaa is held by the Houthi movement; the internationally recognized government, backed by Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, is based in Aden.
