At midday, China's most-active domestic futures contracts were mixed. SC crude
led gains, rising over 9%; fuel oil climbed more than 8% and low-sulfur fuel oil
(LU) gained over 7%. Propylene, styrene (EB) and plastics advanced over 6%, and
container shipping rates on the Europe route rose nearly 6%. On the downside,
eggs fell about 2%, while polysilicon, Shanghai silver, Shanghai gold and soda
ash were down more than 1%.
