The Hong Kong SAR government today (14th) gazetted the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area Ordinance Bill, establishing a legal basis under central government authorization to implement a “one place, two inspections” arrangement at the rebuilt Huanggang crossing. The bill will be tabled for first and second readings in LegCo tomorrow. The SAR government said the rebuilt crossing will be located in Shenzhen’s Futian district and designated as the primary 24-hour passenger land port between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
