Options on SK Hynix ADRs began trading on the U.S. options exchange Tuesday. As
of 10:25 a.m. New York time total volume was about 33,000 contracts, with more
than two-thirds concentrated in options expiring this Friday. The most active
contract was the $185 call (≈2,900 contracts), followed by the $145 put. A $200
call expiring in August also traded heavily (over 1,500 contracts). Daniel
Kirsch, head of options at Piper Sandler, said traders are positioning for
further near-term upside in the ADR and that demand for short-dated bullish
options—especially calls expiring this Friday—is expected to be strong, likely
drawing rapid retail participation.
