The UAE Defense Ministry said on July 14 two UAE tankers in the southern shipping lane of the Strait of Hormuz were hit by two Iranian cruise missiles, killing one Indian crew member and injuring eight, four seriously. Both vessels caught fire; the ministry said fires are now under control. Iran has not responded.
