CENTCOM said it completed another round of strikes on Iran at 10:00 p.m. ET on
July 14, striking dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and along
Iran’s coast. In the seven-hour operation U.S. fighter jets, unmanned aircraft
and naval vessels fired precision-guided munitions at Iranian missile and drone
sites, naval forces and coastal defense systems to further degrade Iran’s
ability to threaten commercial and civilian mariners. The strikes coincided with
the U.S. resuming a maritime blockade of vessels transiting to and from Iranian
ports and coastal waters; the blockade took effect today at 4:00 p.m. ET.
CENTCOM said U.S. forces remain vigilant and ready to carry out orders from the
commander-in-chief.
