NBS spokesperson Wang Guanhua said at a State Council Information Office
briefing that looking to H2, volatility in international commodity prices could
disturb domestic prices, but China’s economy retains strong resilience, supplies
of consumer goods are ample and the supply-and-price stabilization policy
framework is effective. With ongoing consumption-support measures, services,
upgraded and new consumption demand should release steadily, and consumer prices
(CPI) are expected to continue a moderate upward trend.
