Vessel-tracking data show a sanctioned VLCC loaded with Iranian crude exited the
Strait of Hormuz into the Gulf of Oman but stopped shortly after leaving the
strait. A Greek‑owned Suezmax carrying Saudi crude, last reported in the Persian
Gulf three days ago, has resumed AIS and is now en route to Fujairah outside the
Gulf. Two small product tankers and two bulkers also transited the strait. The
US began a maritime blockade of Iranian shipping on Tuesday local time,
reinstating measures used in April and May; President Trump has abandoned a
prior plan to levy a 20% charge on cargo transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
