Chulalongkorn University said on the 14th it will partner with Chinese institutions to build Thailand's first ion-trap quantum computer, aiming to deepen China–Thailand cooperation in quantum technology. The university launched a quantum research programme and said it will work with the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and Hefei Yaozheng Quantum Technology Co. to jointly develop an ion-trap quantum computing system.
