China's Taiwan Affairs Office said the Central Committee of the Communist Party
of China and the State Council's September 2023 'Opinions' provided
comprehensive support for Fujian to develop a cross‑Strait integration
demonstration zone. The State Administration for Market Regulation issued
targeted measures in 2023 emphasizing soft standard connectivity, backing Fujian
to systemically establish cross‑Strait common standards, explore new models and
mechanisms for standards harmonization, and promote joint standard R&D, market
sharing and talent exchange.
