Spokesman Lin Jian said at a regular briefing the report by the U.S. National
Endowment for Democracy is full of lies and falsehoods, deliberately fabricates
a narrative of "authoritarian expansion", smears China’s foreign exchanges and
international cooperation, and stokes the "China threat" narrative. China
resolutely opposes the report, accused the group of acting in bad faith, and
urged relevant U.S. institutions and individuals to correct their perception of
China, abandon prejudice and stop political manipulation.
