Apple is preparing its biggest iPad mini upgrade in five years, introducing an
OLED display and targeting a fall announcement with shipments in October; device
codename J510. The company plans to refresh the entry-level iPad (J581) and
11‑/13‑inch iPad Air (J807, J837) next year — the entry model will mainly get a
processor upgrade and iPad Air is expected in spring. Apple also expects to
launch its first foldable iPhone and a new Apple Watch in September, and raised
prices last month on several products including iPads.
