Malaysia's Finance Ministry said Bank Negara will continue to manage and operate the national trust fund during the transition period.

At about 09:00 on July 17 a landslide near Wujiang Third Bridge, Hanjia subdistrict, Pengshui county, Chongqing caused house collapses and left people trapped. The Ministry of Emergency Management activated a national Level II geological disaster emergency response. Minister Zhang Chengzhong led a working group to the scene and ordered full search-and-rescue, rapid accounting of those trapped and measures to prevent secondary disasters; Vice Minister Xu Jia'ai continued coordination. The ministry dispatched 100 professional rescuers with equipment from the Natural Disaster Engineering Emergency Rescue Center (China Aneng Group). The national comprehensive fire and rescue team deployed 49 vehicles and 206 personnel to the site.
