The Hong Kong Companies Registry said 122,481 new local and re-registered
companies were recorded in 1H 2026. As of end-June 2026, the total number of
local and re-registered companies under the Companies Ordinance stood at
1,609,720, a record high. In 1H 2026, 903 non-Hong Kong companies established
places of business and registered under the Companies Ordinance. As of end-June
2026, the total number of registered non-Hong Kong companies reached 16,014,
also a record high.
