US strikes destroyed five bridges in Hormozgan province, cutting road links
between Bandar Abbas and surrounding districts. Bandar Abbas, Iran’s primary
southern naval logistics hub, supports IRGC, coastal defense, missile,
engineering units and transport of military supplies. Damage to transport nodes
may delay fuel, ammunition, engineering gear, spare parts and other military
materiel, lowering logistics efficiency and degrading operational execution.
Rapid deployment and mobility of anti-ship cruise missiles, coastal defense
systems, ballistic missile launchers and UAVs could be impaired; with fewer road
corridors formerly dispersed assets may become easier to detect and track by
ISR. The Hormozgan road network also underpins Iran’s monitoring and
reinforcement of Strait of Hormuz coastal bases; damaged routes will hinder
troop and resupply movements, radar sustainment, launcher repairs and the
maintenance of deterrent/threat capabilities against maritime traffic.
