Iranian state TV, citing the Iranian military, said Iran struck U.S. military assets and fuel tanks in Bahrain.

A security source in Iraq's Kurdistan Region said an attack in Sulaymaniyah province on the 17th (local time) killed nine people and wounded several. The Kurdistan regional government confirmed an attack but gave no casualty details. Earlier reports said the province was struck by seven rockets, followed by two drone strikes on camps belonging to an Iranian Kurdish opposition group within the province.

China's Ministry of Commerce said that during U.S.-China economic and trade talks in Madrid the U.S. made commitments on Hong Kong and investment. The U.S. has since confirmed that Executive Order 13936 will not be renewed after it expires this year and will be terminated. Beijing called the move an important step in implementing the talks' consensus, welcomed the policy adjustment, and urged the U.S. to respect Chinese sovereignty and the Hong Kong SAR's rule of law and to restore and strengthen normal economic and trade exchanges.
