Iran's ambassador to Pakistan, Moghadam, said on social media on the 18th that the US has mischaracterized a 14-point Iran‑US memorandum reached after months of Pakistani mediation and is controlling parts of the Strait of Hormuz to obtain battlefield gains it failed to secure. He said Iran will not accept Washington's arbitrary reading of the memorandum and accused the US of ignoring the agreement and international norms to wage war and damage Iranian infrastructure.
