France and Germany said they will study and develop Europe-controlled military
software as an alternative to US firm Palantir Technologies Inc (PLTR.N).
France’s domestic intelligence service announced in June it would terminate its
Palantir contract, and Germany’s intelligence service has selected the French
alternative ChapsVision. In a joint statement after talks between Macron and
German chancellor Merz, the two governments said they will pursue European
sovereign digital infrastructure and assess joint capabilities in data-centric
security, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions, citing France’s Arcadia
project and a similar German solution.
