A-share insurance stocks rose, led by China Pacific Insurance up more than 6%
and Ping An up over 4%; PICC and New China Life each gained over 3%, and China
Life added about 2%. In a midday statement China Pacific Insurance said it will
continue investing in technology-growth, consumption and new-energy equities and
ETFs to support the cultivation and development of new productive forces and to
act as patient market capital.
