據知情人士透露，伊藤忠商事將於11月啓動一項業務，從廢舊智能手機和電腦中回收關鍵礦物並轉售這些材料。此舉旨在加強日本國內資源回收利用。

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said it will deepen the "AI+Manufacturing" initiative, focusing on application-led deployment in manufacturing. The ministry will cultivate AI application service providers and implement a "model–data resonance" action to roll out lightweight, low-cost, easy-to-deploy industry solutions that lower SME adoption barriers. MIIT will strengthen supply of core technologies — computing power, AI models and data — accelerate R&D of intelligent equipment and next‑generation smart manufacturing, and support iteration of consumer smart terminals as well as wider deployment of humanoid robots and brain‑computer interfaces. It will also expand a national AI open‑source community to share high‑quality models and datasets, step up development and promotion of key standards, and reinforce industry security safeguards.
