Media reported on July 21 that Xiaomi has lifted its 2026 smartphone shipment
target from about 90 mln to 110 mln units (≈+16%), citing a source who said the
move reflects expectations of a storage-price reversal; Xiaomi did not comment.
IDC China research manager Guo Tianxiang said Xiaomi’s production plan is 90–95
mln units, its full-year shipment target has not fallen below 100 mln, and the
current target range is 100–110 mln. Guo added a storage-price inflection is
unlikely near term: H2 memory prices should not climb as sharply as H1 but are
expected to remain near current highs rather than drop materially.
