Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said it will press ahead with the $6.2bn Umm Shaif gas-cap development. Despite the Middle East conflict underscoring supply vulnerability, ADNOC said it expects long-term gas demand to remain strong. The project, slated to start production in 2030, will deliver gas and associated products equivalent to nearly 10% of UAE gas consumption. Partners include France’s TotalEnergies, Italy’s Eni and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).
