Eligible shipping firms may establish global or regional cash management centres to centralise onshore management of domestic and foreign funds; authorities will improve cross‑border RMB usability and payment efficiency and guide shipping‑chain firms to prioritise RMB pricing or settlement.

CMA CGM said on its website it will impose an emergency fuel surcharge from Aug 1 after hostilities in the Strait of Hormuz escalated and pushed fuel prices sharply higher, reversing a recent easing trend. The surcharge will be $65–$165 per container across all regions and routes and will remain in effect until further notice.
