A St. Louis Fed paper finds U.S. AI adoption materially outpaces Europe, and the gap is driven less by age, education or industry mix than by firm management and organizational culture. The study shows firms with higher management quality — not greater technology availability — and those that actively encourage employee AI use and provide AI-tool support have significantly higher AI adoption rates.

ChiNext Index rose more than 6% while the Shanghai Composite gained about 1%. The semiconductor complex led the advance, with advanced packaging, memory chips and CPO-related names among the top performers. Among ChiNext constituents, Guoci Materials hit the daily limit; Sanhuan Group, Changchuan Technology, Robotech and over 15 other stocks rallied more than 10%.
