The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) met in Ningbo,
Zhejiang, to guide formation of national new‑type industrialization
demonstration zones, instructing candidate cities to prioritize
innovation-driven growth by strengthening enterprise-led R&D, building
high-level industrial innovation platforms and speeding efficient transfer and
commercialization of innovation to take the lead in industrial
science-and-technology system breakthroughs; optimize industrial structure by
accelerating renewal and upgrading of traditional industries, scaling emerging
industries as new growth drivers and identifying future industry tracks; advance
smart development by expanding new‑generation intelligent manufacturing,
accelerating a green, low‑carbon transition and developing service-oriented
manufacturing and producer services to pioneer integrated industrial
digitalization, greening and convergence; and reinforce industrial capacity by
boosting international competitiveness of advanced manufacturing clusters,
accelerating high-quality development of tech and industrial parks, and
cultivating larger high-quality enterprise groups to build higher-level
industrial carriers.
