Foreign Ministry spokesman BAGHAEI said on social media that repeated US attacks
and threats against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities violate the UN Charter,
international law and IAEA and UN resolutions, and reflect entrenched hostility
to Iran’s scientific and technological progress. He said Iran has fully declared
its nuclear activities to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under
safeguards. BAGHAEI called Washington’s fixation on "Hao Shan" a manufactured
pretext for aggression and said there is no nuclear activity at the site. He
asked where the IAEA director-general — also a candidate for UN
secretary-general — is now, and warned that the Iranian people are united and
ready to respond with full force to any US hostile acts or infringements on
Iran’s sovereignty and security.
