Apple (AAPL.O) plans to launch a device-leasing program called Apple Upgrade on July 28, a move sources say will be one of the largest changes to its device sales model. The US-first rollout will cover most iPhone, Mac, iPad and Apple Watch models and will be available in Apple retail stores and online. Klarna Group will provide funding for the program. The subscription-style service allows customers to prepay, upgrade early (early upgrades may incur fees), keep devices after the lease or return them.
