Amazon (AMZN.O) is cutting jobs in its general artificial intelligence unit.

U.S. equities closed higher on Tuesday: Dow +0.74%, S&P 500 +0.89%, Nasdaq +1.29%. SK Hynix (SKHY.O) jumped 13.7%, Micron Technology (MU.O) rose 12%, SanDisk (SNDK.O) gained 14%, NVIDIA (NVDA.O) advanced about 2% and SpaceX (SPCX.O) climbed 3%. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index fell 0.69%; NetEase (NTES.O) dropped more than 3%.

China foreign minister Wang Yi met Indian foreign minister S. Jaishankar in Manila on the 22nd. Wang said China and India will implement their leaders' consensus, deepen high-level exchanges and economic, trade, media and cultural cooperation, and properly manage sensitive issues to foster mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence. He urged exploration of a neighborly great-power model based on mutual respect, trust, shared development and prosperity to inject new momentum into bilateral ties. Wang said India and China will serve consecutive BRICS rotating presidencies over the next two years, called for closer BRICS coordination to strengthen the mechanism and better represent developing countries' interests, and said China will continue to support India in hosting this year's BRICS summit.
