Shanghai officials said at a July 23 briefing they will build a game export service platform, continue support for online literature platform Qidian International and promote district-level short-form web-drama export bases. The city will continue compiling a country-specific China Game Export Guide and, via universities and industry associations, provide IP-protection and financial services for games. A one-stop service centre for short-form web dramas will be launched to consolidate government advisory, marketing, copyright protection and financing for overseas distribution.
