Oman's foreign ministry said it urged avoiding escalation and any threats that could complicate the Red Sea situation or endanger freedom of navigation.

Singapore Exchange (SGX) has agreed with MSCI to launch up to 100 new futures and options on MSCI indices, covering developed and emerging markets and sector indices including utilities, industrials, energy and financials. SGX said clients are demanding exposure beyond single regions and across industries, and the exchange will expand contracts across Asian countries, products and asset classes in response.
