Remaining work is Washington’s procedural handling of Section 301 trade investigations, which allow tariffs or other retaliatory measures for unfair trade. A 60-country Section 301 probe is expected to conclude this week or next. The official said once that probe and other ongoing investigations are finished, progress on deals — in India and elsewhere — should follow.
