Under a MIIT notice and based on provincial submissions, the Ministry of
Industry and Information Technology’s office has designated 3,874 enterprises
for 2026 industrial energy‑efficiency inspections. Of these, 2,739 are in
energy‑intensive sectors — steel, synthetic ammonia, refining, ethylene, caustic
soda, soda ash, methanol, PVC, electrolytic aluminum, industrial silicon,
cement, flat glass, building and sanitary ceramics, and computing‑power
facilities — and 976 are in key industrial chains, including photovoltaic, wind
turbines, power and storage batteries, and water‑electrolysis hydrogen
equipment. The plan also covers 159 firms for follow‑up inspections of 2025
non‑compliance rectification.
