The U.S. House of Representatives on a roll-call vote for the second time approved a War Powers resolution directing President Trump to end hostilities with Iran, 214-208. Four Republican members joined Democrats in voting for the measure. A similar resolution passed in June with the same four GOP defectors. The move is largely symbolic but underscores the unpopularity of the Iran conflict and growing concern among a minority of Republicans who could face strong opposition in upcoming midterm congressional elections.
