Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said during the 27th wave of its "Victory 2" operations it struck the US base in Azraq, Jordan, damaging several aircraft and hitting US personnel accommodation, causing casualties. It said it also destroyed a Patriot air-defence system and a reconnaissance balloon in Erbil, Iraq, and struck a US personnel lodging.

CENTCOM said strike targets included Iran’s military command centers, drone storage facilities, communications networks, coastal surveillance posts and maritime combat assets, aimed at further degrading Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and merchant vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

ONS data show UK retail sales rose 1.0% MoM in June (consensus -0.3%) and 4.2% YoY (consensus 2.3%). ONS senior statistician Hannah Finselbach said demand was strong for outdoor goods, air conditioners and clothing, and online sales of sports goods were robust. The report notes household inflation has fallen to its lowest in over a year as fuel and food prices decline, and labour market weakness is showing tentative signs of stabilising. ONS cautioned the recovery remains fragile; the recent breakdown of a US–Iran ceasefire has revived concerns about higher energy bills and rising mortgage costs.
