China hosted the APEC High-Level AI Forum in Chengdu on July 24. APEC member economies reaffirmed commitments to deepen exchanges, build consensus, strengthen cooperation and foster innovation in artificial intelligence, and to continue implementing the 2040 APEC Butraguaya Vision, the APEC Internet and Digital Economy Roadmap and the APEC Artificial Intelligence Initiative (2026–2030). Noting diverse needs across economies, members encouraged experience-sharing to advance responsible developmen
