NVIDIA will invest $1 bln in Korean internet and cloud firm Naver to expand
Naver’s under-construction AI data center, which NVIDIA says will more than
double Naver’s data center capacity. The project is being co-developed with US
private equity firm Brookfield and will be fully equipped with NVIDIA AI compute
hardware. Separately, NVIDIA and SK Group agreed to build an AI data center
cluster in Korea with total power capacity exceeding 2 GW — roughly equivalent
to the electricity demand of 1.5 mln households — and SK Telecom will bring the
first AI compute facility online next year.
