July 24 — At the White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner at the
Waldorf Astoria, Trump joked reporters would "go bankrupt" when he leaves office
because they'd have nothing to cover. He mockingly declared he would seek "a
fourth term," wore a "Trump 2028" hat and said, "I am pleased to announce my
intention — this can be said to be big news — I will run for a fourth term as
U.S. president. I won three times, now I'm going to win again." Despite
currently being in his second presidential term, he again refused to acknowledge
his 2020 election loss to Biden.
