Guangdong Provincial Disaster Reduction Commission raised the province’s disaster‑relief emergency response from level four to level three at 04:00 on July 26, citing current provincial disaster conditions and pursuant to the Guangdong Natural Disaster Relief Emergency Plan.

To implement central decisions on quality work and according to the inspection plan, the Office of the Leading Group for Building a Quality Power, together with relevant member units, has dispatched a quality inspection team to Guangdong to carry out inspections. On July 21 the team met with the Guangdong provincial party committee and provincial government, briefed inspection matters and set work requirements; senior provincial government officials attended and spoke.
