A vehicle-ramming in Berlin’s Tiergarten on the evening of the 25th left one
dead and 16 injured, police said; three are critical, eight seriously injured
and five lightly wounded. Berlin police issued a public manhunt for a
21-year-old male suspect, Abdul B., saying he may be armed and dangerous and
urging anyone who spots him to call authorities. Police have not confirmed the
suspect’s motive and are still investigating whether he was the driver.
Chancellor MERZ called the incident “a despicable act” and “an attack on our
entire society.”
