On July 26 Zeekr activated a Cross-Border Guard entry in the Zeekr app overnight
as part of an adjustment to its outbound vehicle security policy. Owners can
one‑tap to receive a verification code and self‑unlock the infotainment system,
shortening the process and improving response time. Zeekr is developing an
on/off switch for the feature to be delivered via OTA; once deployed the feature
will default to off and owners can manually enable it on their phones before
travel. If enabled, vehicles will show infotainment prompts and some functions
will be restricted after crossing borders; owners can still self‑unlock via the
app to balance theft protection with free movement.
